Lenny Kravitz and TheCranberries tour, together!
Thu 10th Nov, 2011 in Local News
It’s time to re-pierce your nose, purchase some paisley pants from Ishka and ‘Let Love Rule’ – because for the first time in nearly two decades Mr Lenny ‘why wear a shirt when you have these abs’ Kravitz is coming to Australia.
If the fact that next year you will have the chance to relive classics like Mr Cab Driver, and Are You Gonna Go My Way with all the gawky joy of your not-so-misspent youth isn’t news enough, then perhaps the inclusion of recently reformed rockers The Cranberries on the Kravitz bill is.
It has been over seven years since pixie-haired vocalist Dolores O’Riordan and fellow bandmates Noel and Michael Hogan and Fergal Lawler announced that they would be taking time out to ‘pursue other projects’. Arguably one of the nineties biggest bands, selling over five million copies of their debut album Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?, their retirement in 2003 came a decade after their seminal hit Zombie.
And just to ensure that every MMM listener in the country attends these concerts, Wolfmother is confirmed as the opening acts. Rawks.
Lenny Kravitz, The Cranberries and Wolfmother tour dates:
Saturday 17th March – Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Melbourne
Sunday 18th March – Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Melbourne
Tuesday 20th March – WIN, Wollongong
Wednesday 21st March – SEC, Sydney
Saturday 24th March – Riverstage, Brisbane
Wednesday 28th March – Perth Athletics Stadium, Perth
