My Morning Jacket Bluesfestsideshows
Thu 3rd Nov, 2011 in Local News
This morning the first installment of the Bluesfest lineup revealed that the wondrous My Morning Jacket will be making their way back to Australia in April.
We’re looking forward to another series of memorable gigs from the band and a look at the website for tour promoters Love Police seems to reveal that punters in Sydney and Melbourne will be treated to headline shows. Hidden in the past tours archive on the Love Police website is a poster touting the 2012 shows.
The band was last in Australia on the Big Day Out tour in 2009 and played support to Neil Young’s headline shows. They also had thier own sideshows to attend to with FL’s reviewer in Melbourne raving that the band “showed off their talents as one of the better rock bands on the scene today. There’s jungle beats, pop, a little hip-hop and rock all boiling away in the one eclectic, magical melting pot of psychedelic love tonight and it’s ridiculously impressive.”
