FL's Nicci6 features in musicand art show

This weekend, at the Bird, 2011 WAM Rock Song of the Year winners Sam Carmody and the Warning Birds launch Ghost Town, a CD release notable for its collaboration with a network of Perth artists and musicians. The launch will form part of a free exhibition and concert entitled Not Islands

It will feature a display of the graphic design, photography and videography from young Norweigan talent, Agnetha Berg and showcase the work of FasterLouder’s award winning photographer Nicole Clissa, acknowledging the vital role Perth photographers have played in documenting a burgeoning music scene and a key period in Western Australian music history.

Not Islands is a look behind the curtain, a spotlight on the artistic connections that are being made between musicians and artists in the Perth music scene. It recognises the ever increasing interconnect between music and the visual arts in Perth.

The event will feature performances from Rainy Day Women and Sam Carmody and The Warning Birds.

Not Islands exhibition is on Sunday 30th October – The Bird, Northbridge
