First Laneway Festivalsideshows announced

Thanks to a tip-off in the FL Forum we can reveal that Wu Lyf will play two sideshows while in Australia for St Jerome’s Laneway Festival next year.

The post-rock four piece from Manchester have published dates for additional shows in both Melbourne and Sydney on their website, making them the first Laneway artist to confirm gigs outside of the festival itself.

Wu Lyf came to the attention of the music world in 2009 when they released a series of impressive recordings while remaining shrouded in complete anonymity, declining requests for interviews and revealing little information to the press. Although their days of masked music crusading are long behind them, when talking to FL at Vivid LIVE in May the band mused that: “The anonymous thing works because, we just wanted to put out the music and let it speak for itself. People actually really want to know who we are, which is nice.”
