Soundwave 2012 secondannouncement

The Soundwave 2012 lineup should already be enough to get your head banging and ears ringing, but if you need more convincing here’s the second announcement.

Soundwave festival boss AJ Maddah had originally intended to make this second announcement of bands in early December, but due to promising ticket pre-sales he decided to move the date so that punters could see more of the lineup before the festivals sell out.

Sadly since the first announcement Hole has dropped off the lineup due to a dispute about their place on the bill. However Maddah “pledged to get someone bigger“ as a replacement and reveal the new act as part of the second announcement. He has delivered by getting Bad Religion back on board for the festival.

This is the second of three planned announcements for Soundwave 2012. The third is expected in December and will apparently feature “around 5” acts.

I guess they just replaced her with the younger, lesser-known slut from The Pretty Reckless?

As soon as I see bands on a line-up that don't know much about, I get straight onto youtube - and tbh, I actually really dig her voice, she's obviously got legit vocal talent - it's just a shame she portrays herself the way she does.

I would think that ticketek's allocation wouldn't have been that large since oztix seem to be SW's actual official ticketing partner (they organised all the presale and are responsible for sales through the actual soundwave site?)

BT were probably my favourite performance that day though, close call between them, NIN, and The Subways. Come to think of it, another Subways tour would be quite nice.
