Update:
A Melbourne show has been added to the tour
A Brisbane show has now been added to the tour.
Breakup balladeer Bright Eyes will play at least one sideshow while in town this November for Harvest Festival.
According to an advertisement in Sydney Streetpress Drum Conor Oberst is performing at the Enmore Theatre on Monday 14th November. With TV On The Radio and other Harvest artists having already confirmed headline gigs in multiple cities it seems likely that other Bright Eyes shows will be announced soon.
For what it’s worth, festival boss AJ Maddah has announced on Twitter that Melbourne will be getting a Bright Eyes sideshow, but ruled out the chance of shows in Perth or Adelaide.
Given Oberst has said that he plans to ‘retire’ the Bright Eyes moniker soon, this may be the last chance you get to shed a tear about the ghosts of lost loves and hear tunes from his new album The People’s Key.
Bright Eyes Harvest sideshow:
Thursday 10th November – The Hi-FI, Melbourne
Monday 14th November – Enmore, Sydney
Thursday 17th November – The Hi-Fi, Brisbane
