The Kooks were last in Australia for the Falls festival in 2009 and they’re returning to repeat the visit with another run of New Years gigs in Lorne, Marion Bay and at the Southbound festival.

They also have sideshows to keep them busy and to entertain the swarms of English backpackers who will also be making the annual migration to Australia.

The Kooks sideshows:

Monday 2nd January – The Tivoli, Brisbane
Wednesday 4th January – Palace Theatre, Melbourne
Friday 6th January – Hordern Pavilion, Sydney
Monday 9th January – Astor Theatre, Perth

Tickets on sale Tuesday 11th October

Geez, didn't they play the metro last time? Missed them last time so I might head along to this but the Horden? Way too big.

I saw them at the Hordern for their last tour.

I'm pretty certain it was really full too.

they sold out the palace on their last tour, i dont think i'll be going to this, fleet foxes and monkeys is all i can afford with laneway out next week.

Oh, my mistake. They wouldn't be a big as last time round though would they? Haven't heard many people talking about their latest album (which reminds me I still need to listen to it).

They played the Hordern in 2009, not sure if they Metro. Should be going to this, Fleet Foxes and Crystal Castles if they announce a show.

They played a one off at the metro to promote the release of Konk.

I'm not sure how popular they are still.

awesome....missed them last time. looking foward to seeing them this time.

as commercial as it is....really looking forward to naive...and hope they play sway and one last time..yeah!!

The new album is pretty awful. I enjoyed their first two albums, but they were average last time at the Hordern. Wont be attending.
