Beirut will play three sideshows when he returns to Australia this December as part of the Falls and Southbound line-ups.
Last on our shores for Golden Plains way back in 2008, Zach Condon returns with tunes from his stunning third album The Rip Tide. Falling back on the horns, strings and mournful lyrics of the band’s earlier work, on Rip Tide Beirut eschew the electronic leaning of 2009’s mini LP March of the Zapotec/Holland to create a record that feels both familiar and progressive.
Beirut sideshow dates:
Thursday 5th January – Sydney Opera House, Sydney
Tuesday 10th January – The Forum Theatre, Melbourne
Thursday 12th January – The Hi Fi, Brisbane
Tickets on sale Tuesday 11th October.
