International Comedy Festivalfor Perth

Yes, Perth is holding an international comedy festival next year, and judging by the roars of laughter at the website launch performance, it’s going to be a raging success.

At an intimate gathering at the Astor Theatre, Australian comedy legends, Tripod along with Werzel and Robertson gave a special performance to launch the PICF website, and we got our first taste of the calibre of comedy due to come our way in May 2012.

The opening night gala kicks off the festival on 2nd May, after a whirlwind regional suitcase tour, followed by 19 days and nights of comedy action including Tripod, Henry Rollins and Triple J’s Dave Callan performing at the Astor, the Velvet Lounge and the Jack High Comedy Club.

With more acts and events to be announced in the coming months, this promises to be a brilliant beginning to a world class comedy festival.
