Oh Mercy’s final headlineshows for 2011

Following a set at Splendour In The Grass, support shows with The Vaccines and a brief visit to America, Oh Mercy have announced that their upcoming shows in Sydney and Melbourne will be their final headline shows for the year.
Frontman Alexander Gow debuted several new songs them during a solo tour with Dan Sultan in July the band has also been reworking the tunes from Privileged Woes and Great Barrier Grief while on tour in the States.
The band’s Great Barrier Grief album launch tour back in March earned strong reviews, with FL’s reviewer in Sydney noting that “Their performance showcased the underlying skill in the songwriting of the band, their musicianship and cohesiveness. Most of all it highlighted their continuing maturity and growth as a live band.”
Oh Mercy’s final headline shows for 2011:
Friday 14th October – Oxford Arts Factory, Sydney
Friday 25th November – The Hi-Fi, Melbourne
