Off & Racing In The 15thAnnual Meredith Gift
Mon 5th Sep, 2005 in Local News
Whilst no announcement of the line-up has been made as yet, tickets for the 2005 Meredith Music Festival go on sale tomorrow, September 6.
Tickets will be $89.95 for the Saturday and Sunday of the festival, and an additional $26 for a limited number of patrons who wish to arrive the Friday night before.
Tickets will be available from Snowgum Adventurewear stores, Ticketek, as well as a select group of independent record stores. Organisers warn that tickets are strictly limited; they will not be available from the gate; and, as with most festivals of late, will more than likely sell out.
The festival, set in the hills just outside of the country town of the same name in Victoria, has now been going for 15 years. The site, affectionately known as the Supernatural Amphitheatre, is set on a working farm and is reportedly one of the most beautiful festival sites in the country.
As always this years festival will include the Meredith Gift, Australia’s most famous nudie run. The winner will be amongst an elite of nudie runners and will receive a pair of golden for their efforts. Organisers do warn that anyone driving their car in the race will be disqualified. As well as the gift a wonderful array of foods and beverages from the markets and the open air cinema will be operating again this year.
Keep an eye on FasterLouder for line up details and a full report after the festival.
