Fucked Up added to the FooFighters tour

Foo Fighters’ nationwide stadium tour this summer, which already boasts Tenacious D in support, has now added hardcore punk crew Fucked Up to the bill. Yes, Foo Fighters fans will be introduced to Pink Eyes and the Fucked Up experience… this is seriously mental!

The Canadian band toured earlier this year on the Soundwave lineup, but since that tour they’ve released one of the year’s finest albums – the epic concept punk-opera David Comes To Life.

And speaking of fucked up, have you seen the new Foo Fighters video/gay porn audition tape?

He had his moments. The problem with any Seth MacFarlane show is that the amount of time they're on TV is inversely proportional to the longetivity of their characters. And considering he works off 5 stock character types for everything he produces it means soon enough you just want to choke the next bastard who does a Stewie impression.

I saw The Bronx at SW and hung around to see Fucked Up play and left after the second song they didn't seem very special but I'm keen to give them a 2nd chance.

i hadn't heard them at all before this but i listened to the two singles of David Comes To Life and they are amazing, everyone hear seems to speak very highly of them and the reviews for David Comes To Life seem to be highly positive so I'm keen to hear the rest of the album and possibly see them live

I would think there's a reasonable chance of them doing their own shows, even potentially with a different promoter. Soundwave managed to get a couple in for Baroness while they were here with Metallica. Either way, stoked with this news!

i wouldnt expect anyone under 30 to really be into mudhoney unless they like chasng up bands retrospectively, but many of us who were of appropriate age during the grunge movement love em and always will love em, more than nirvana, more than pearl jam.

it's only a music website man, i'm not here to disucss the world's problems really.

clashes during festivals is a huge talking point here every single time a festival runlist is put out... so gripes about clashes between two seperate gigs of similar appeal is appropriate here too.... jusy sayin, just would love to see both, esp as one is an old fave and one is a new fave.

but if you have any other more important problems you'd like to air, go for it, i'm sur eMAB will be able to solve them for you

yeah liked the soundwave slot, but since hearing David Comes to Life, i've gotten keener to see them do their own show

i've only seen Mudhoney once though (trust me, it shopld be higher but you cant see everything over the years, as much as a try) so am very overdue for some of their rockin goodness

but you lead me to one of my bigger problems.... MONEY!!! (hence the dream that others had here of them playing a gig together)

if either band was playing newcastle i could maybe work through this, but melbourne is a bit outta my budget alas

Wow I'd hate to be that local band (then again, I'd probably be happy saying "yeah, I opened for the foo fighters. No biggie".

Would've liked a longer Fucked Up set but hopefully they should be doing those sideshows (would be really happy if they decided to play David comes to life in full as well!).

Ah well, Foo fighters playing for 2 'n half hours will be fantastic.
