More acts added to Harvestfestival

Following this morning’s leak that TV on the Radio will be playing at Harvest the promoters have released the second announcement of acts for the staggering lineup.

The other new additions to the lineup are Scottish post-rockers Mogwai (who had already let slip that they were playing), indie heros from the class of 2005 Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, and local electronica wunderkinds Seekae.

Kevin Devine who had already been confirmed for the lineup via a tweet from festival promoter AJ Maddah has also been officially added to the lineup. Although fellow Soundwave Revolution refugee Emilie Autumn, who had indicated that she may be added to the bill, hasn’t been officially confirmed.

Maddah says that an final announcement of acts for the festival will be announced in the first week of October and that the festival will feature “3 band stages + cabaret tent + various other goings on” so it looks as though we’ll be faced with some difficult clash decisions when the timetables are released.

and now im thinking maybe this isnt a viral marketing technique by BDO themselves, why would they trash JJJ, one of their biggest supporters/promoters?

That 'heard it hear first' claim came from 'The REAL BDO spy', which is the sarcastic rival to BigDayOutSpy, and is just there to take the piss. Unless the original bdospy has also mentioned tripleJ somewhere?

yeah. what's it usually like. i really really want to see portishead live, though i'm not very fond of many of the other bands playing, and $160 seems a bit deer to fork out for one band. and i suppose if they were going to do a sideshow they would have announced it by now.
