TV on the Radio added to theHarvest lineup
Wed 7th Sep, 2011 in Local News
Harvest Festival already boasts more than its fair share of great bands including The Flaming Lips, Portishead, Bright Eyes and The National and now they’ll be joined by even more civilized bands on the lineup.
The festival promoter had promised that the second announcement would be released on the 1st of September, but that date passed without any update from the festival. However TV on The Radio have now posted the Harvest dates on their Facebook page, jumping the gun on the rest of the festival’s second lineup announcement.
Following the collapse of the Soundwave Revolution Brooklyn based Kevin Devine was also added to the Harvest lineup and it appears that he’ll been joined by fellow Revolution refugee and “Victoriandustrial” poet Emilie Autumn, who recently advised her fans on Twitter to keep an eye on the Harvest site. And on stage at Splendour Mogwai also announced that they’d be back to play at Harvest.
Update: Emilie Autumn has posed a comment on Twitter linking back to this story and announcing “Afraid my role in the Aussie Harvest Fest is being mis-listed. Not reading poetry, MCing / headlining the Cabaret Tent.” So she’s either not performing at all or she’s headlining the Cabaret tent – it all depends on how you read that pesky comma.
