Nirvana Live At The Paramount

The 20th anniversary of Nirvana’s Nevermind has been met by Sunday newspaper ‘think pieces’ on the state of modern music; the tribute covers record an attempt to stage a series of tribute shows featuring the talents of John Paul Young’s son Danny Marx Young; a reggae album; and – of course – the reissue of the album. Now there’s yet another way to celebrate the anniversary.

On Friday 23rd September, the day before the actual anniversary of Nevermind’s release, the never before seen Live At The Paramount film will be broadcast to cinemas across Australia in a special presentation hosted by Richard Kingsmill. Every ticket for the screening will include a copy of the double CD 20th Anniversary Deluxe edition of Nevermind, featuring 40 tracks including rarities, studio outtakes and live tracks.

Live At The Paramount was Nirvana’s first big homecoming show, at the height of the hype surrounding Nevermind and is the only known Nirvana live show ever recorded on film.
