Golden Plains the Sixxxth

With Meredith Music Festival now well and truly sold out, it is time to start looking towards her not-so-little sister Golden Plains. In its sixxxth incarnation, Aunty Meredith today confirmed that GP will be take over the Super Natural Amphitheatre from Saturday 10th – Monday 12th March 2012.
While this year’s Plains was all kinds of special with apricot skies, sonic wavves and much shoe lofting, Aunty Meredith is in the habit of letting her festivals evolve and has told us she is, “Tinkering with a few subtleties and nuances for next year’s Golden. The music between bands and ‘the Flow’ are on the drawing board for a spruce-up. We are always looking to, well, improve the lineup year to year so that’s on the cards as well.”
But you needn’t fear the change too much, for Aunty M has assured her faithful that “Many other things don’t need adjustment and will stay the same – the size of the crowd, the no commercial sponsors, the No Dickhead Policy, the epic time-and-space abundance, the time of year (early Autumn).” Thank the festival Gods for that.
