Mon 5th Sep, 2011 in Local News
Entering it’s sixth year now, the Jagermeister Independent Music Awards continue to recognise the countless young bands in this country, proudly doing it for themselves.
Past winners include Dan Sultan, The Drones, Art Vs Science, Gotye and Eddy Current Suppression Ring, just to name a few. With a wealth of independent music released over the last 12 months this year’s awards are already shaping up to be huge, but before the nominees are announced let’s talk about the party.
Having previously been held at The Corner and The Forum in Melbourne, this year the awards will move north side to the Art Space, Revolt in Kensington. Performing at the ceremony will be Adalita; Sydney noise three-piece Seekae; Melbourne MC Illy (featuring Owl Eyes ); Brisbane’s favourite new singer-songwriter Emma Louise and the so-hot-right-now Calling All Cars.
Wednesday October 12th – Jagermeister Independent Music Awards
