Alice Cooper adds extra shows

Alice Cooper hasn’t let the cancellation of Soundwave Revolution (or a bizarre decision to collaborate with Ke$ha ) affect his Australian tour plans, in fact he has now added extra dates to his visit later this month.

In addition to his previously announced shows in Melbourne and Sydney, Cooper has added an extra night in Melbourne and gigs in Auckland, Brisbane and Perth to his schedule.

His last Aussie shows saw Cooper “killed” on stage a mind boggling four times but when speaking with FasterLouder backstage at Download Festival Cooper said things will go a little differently at the new shows: “This time they are only killing me once, but we have switched a lot of the songs around and made the show a lot heavier. Basically we’ve added a new guitar play; we’ve added a new drummer so there are three guitars now not two.” And that extra guitarist is no less than original Cooper guitarist and Lou Reed collaborative Steve Hunter.

Alice Cooper tour:

Thursday 22nd September – The Trusts Stadium, Auckland
Saturday 24th September – Convention Centre, Brisbane
Monday 26th September – Enmore Theatre, Sydney
Thursday 29th September – Palais Theatre, Melbourne
Friday 30th September – Palais Theatre, Melbourne
Sunday 2nd October- Challenge Stadium, Perth

Tickets on sale Thursday 9th September
