Peats Ridge Festival 2011lineup

Summing up last year’s Peats Ridge Sustainable Arts and Music Festival our FL reviewer declared: “…the location is gorgeous, the dickhead factor is at an all-time low and if it was any more laid back, it would probably fall over.” Entering its eighth year now, Peats Ridge has established itself as one of Australia’s leading New Year’s festivals, producing diverse line-ups while remaining true to its ethos of environmental sustainability.

Heading up the festivities at Glenworth Valley this New Year’s Eve will be Gotye, who this week became the first Australian act in five years to achieve double chart success, when his album Making Mirrors debuted at #1in the ARIA charts alongside his crossover single Somebody That I Used To Know.

Joining Mr De Backer will be Californian popsters Dum Dum Girls, blues master Hanni El Khatib, Beijing and Mongolian folk-rock hybrid Hanggai and a huge array of local bands.

Of course, there is more than just music at Peats, with a whole world of performing arts and cultural activities set to be revealed over coming months as well.

Oh..I'm torn!! :(

I thought I saw a man brought to life
He was warm
He came around and he was dignified
He showed me what it was to cry
Well you couldn't be that man I adored
You don't seem to know
Or seem to care what your heart is for
Well I don't know him anymore
There's nothing where he used to lie
My conversation has run dry
That's what's going on
Nothing's fine I'm torn

I'm all out of faith
This is how I feel
I'm cold and I am shamed
Lying naked on the floor
Illusion never changed
Into something real
I'm wide awake
And I can see
The perfect sky is torn
You're a little late
I'm already torn

So I guess the fortune teller's right
I should have seen just what was there
And not some holy light
But you crawled beneath my veins
And now I don't care
I have no luck
I don't miss it all that much
There's just so many things
That I can't touch I'm torn

I'm all out of faith
This is how I feel
I'm cold and I am shamed
Lying naked on the floor
Illusion never changed
Into something real
I'm wide awake
And I can see
The perfect sky is torn
You're a little late
I'm already torn

Torn

hoooooooooo hoohooooooo oooooooo

There's nothing where he used to lie
My inspiration has run dry
That's what's going on
Nothing's right I'm torn

I'm all out of faith
This is how I feel
I'm cold and I am shamed
Lying naked on the floor
Illusion never changed
Into something real
I'm wide awake
And I can see
The perfect sky is torn

I'm all out of faith
This is how I feel
I'm cold and I'm ashamed
Bound and broken on the floor
You're a little late
I'm already torn
