Exclusive: Radio Soulwax 'AxeAttack' preview

Electronic music pioneers 2ManyDJs and Soulwax teamed up last month to launch Radio Soulwax – an online and app driven radio station. The station is essentially a free, curated streaming broadcast created by Steven & David Dewaele, who over 18 weeks are revealing 24 “themed albums”, each containing a one hour mix of exclusive and uniquely created audio and visual content.
This week’s album is called Axe Attack, and FasterLouder has the exclusive one hour preview of it right here, for your viewing and listening pleasure.
Taking a step away from the kind of music you may usually associate with these DJs, Axe Attack is a one hour mash-up of the best rock guitar riffs in history. From Weezer and Deep Purple to Ted Nugent and The Stooges, Radio Soulwax have created one hours worth of rock featuring a staggering 500 artists.
And while trainspotters will no doubt delight in identifying every riff and lick, lovers of classic record art will get just as much pleasure out of the visuals created for this session which features some of the best record sleeves in music history.
