The Spitfires unveil newdrummer
Tue 16th Aug, 2011 in Local News
Local lads the Spitfires have completed an ‘exhaustive search of the Perth music scene’ and have enlisted the help of an old FasterLouder contributor Bradley Stevens to wield the sticks for them.
Until recently, Stevens was the drummer for the now defunct The Bullet Holes who split after 5 years doing the rounds in Perth. Of his new position, he said;
“I’ve had plenty of experience and I know what I’m doing on a drum stool, but I still wouldn’t offer my time to any random band. The Spitfires have a similar purpose to what The Bullet Holes did… they’re charged up on social-awareness which they’ve infused into pop-rock, and that takes my fancy. I want to play music with attitude and passion, so when Sean Regan invited me to audition, I made it my goal to have that spot”.
Stevens will make his Spitfires Debut at the Norfolk Basement on Friday 26th August with support from Minute 36, FAIM Project and The Crossbars.
