The Grates 'Summer's Breath'tour
Thu 11th Aug, 2011 in Local News
Since moving back from Brooklyn and releasing new album Secret Rituals, The Grates have been busy starting parties all around Oz.
Having just gone head-to-head with The Hives and wowed Splendour with some risqué crowd-surfing, Patience and John are gearing up for one huge headline tour this October and November. Kicking off in Toowomba the band will be playing 16 shows across Oz, including a couple way up North.
The ‘Summer’s Breath’ tour will be the first chance much of Australia gets to see the duo show off their new tunes and if their first small gigs back in the country were anything to go by, fans are sure in for a treat. Describing the energy at The Grates’ mini homecoming gig in Sydney one FL reviewer gushed: “The audience was scarcely afforded time to catch their breath before another leaping, shrieking, splashy-drummed punk anthem was blasted at us.”
