The Jezabels national tour

Update:
After selling out dates in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne The Jezabels have added new shows in those cities.


There is no doubt that when The Jezabels release their debut album Prisoner this September it will be to much fanfare. When the Sydney quartet graced the GW McLennan tent at Splendour In The Grass on the weekend, their set proved so popular the pathways surrounding the stage were shutdown.

Fans who did make it through the throng at Splendour were treated to one the band’s most memorable live sets to date. For those that missed out, you’ll be pleased to know that this October The Jezabels will be heading out for an extensive national tour.

The Jezabels will be joined on tour by Canadian indie-orchestral-pop rockers Hey Rosetta! (except in Hobart and Launceston) and indie synth pop crew Alpine (except In Perth).

The Jezabels tour dates:

Friday 7th October – Caloundra Music Festival, Caloundra
Saturday 8th October – Saloon Bar, Launceston
Sunday 9th October – Wrest Point Showroom, Hobart
Wednesday 12th October – The Northern, Byron Bay
Thursday 13th October – USQ Club, Toowoomba
Friday 14th October – The Tivoli, Brisbane Sold Out
Saturday 15th October – Coolangatta Hotel, Coolangatta
Sunday 16th October – The Tivoli, Brisbane New Show
Wednesday 19th October – ANU Bar, Canberra
Thursday 20th October – The Uni Bar, Wollongong
Friday 21st October – The Enmore, Sydney Sold Out
Saturday 22nd October – Fat As Butter, Newcastle
Sunday 23rd October – Enmore, Sydney New Show
Wednesday 26th October – Karova Lounge, Ballarat
Friday 28th October – The Forum, Melbourne Sold Out
Saturday 29th October – Bended Elbow, Geelong
Sunday 30th October – The HiFi, Melbourne (Under 18’s)

Great support acts, so will be attending Wollongong. No interest in the Jezabels, though - probably the most overrated band in the country right now.

B&B sold out two Metro gigs on their tour earlier this year. In fact, they sold out every show on that tour.

Critical darlings, sell-out shows, Hottest 100, festival faves etc. All for some dull-as-dishwater Tori Amos-wannabe piano pop that really shouldn't go much further than dinner party background music.

Granted, it was released before the concerts, but not before on-sale time

but one of them has sold 200 million albums, another drummed on Nevermind and the other is a ranga. so not quite comparable.

Their Australian tour, which begins in Caloundra, Queensland, on October 7, will be followed by a month of shows in north America, before they return for a series of festival appearances during the summer, including slots at Falls Festival over the New Year and, tentatively, at the Big Day Out in January.
