Okkervil River tour

Okkervil River will bring their rambunctious blend of country, folk and rock back to Australia for the fifth time in October.

In addition to their previously announced Melbourne Festival shows, the Texan five-piece will bring a swag of new songs from their recently released sixth album, I Am Very Far, to audiences in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.

Okkervil River tour, proudly presented by FasterLouder:

Wednesday 12th October – Capitol, Perth
Tuesday 18th October – Metro Theatre, Sydney
Wednesday 19th October – The Hi Fi, Brisbane
Friday 14th October – The Forum Theatre, Melbourne
Saturday 15th October – Meeniyan Town Hall, Meeniyan
Sunday 16th October – Toff In Town, Melbourne (Will Sheff solo show)

On sale Thursday 11th August

only seen them once, and they were great. i didn't know their stuff but was convinced to go by a friend who said i'd like them, and i left a big fan.
they seem to have a pretty good grasp of their catalogue too so (at least in my opinion) they do a good job of cherry picking the best stuff.

saw them on their first tour and also the most recent and they had improved heaps 2nd rime around. awesome live band- worth every cent.

Geez this is awkward.... I actually made that amount up. Was aiming for a figure not so high that it was unbelievable but high enough to annoy people. Epic fail on my part.

Well I was expecting $70+ at Captiol, so you estimate was right in my price range. If Funeral Party can get away with $65 + bf at Caps than OR should be charging more :p

The Brisbane show is $48 + $5 bf.

Very decent pricing, fingers crossed Perf gets that sort of deal.

20 cents cheaper than Funeral Party. I guess that's what one semi popular song will do for you.What they were charging was ridiculous. They had to move their Perth show to a venue that could only hold a third as many people. I laughed.

They were really good last time they were here. And Will Sheff did a pretty cool solo instore performance the time before that.

I haven't listenened to the new album because I'm afraid I'll have too many feelings and cry.
