More bands added to Fallslineup

The drip feed of Falls festival’ acts continues with another twelve acts added to the festival lineup, including internationals The Kooks, Metronomy, Jim Jones Revue, Nouvelle Vague, Aloe Blacc, Dan Deacon and Bust a Move rapper Young MC. Metronomy, who had basically leaked their inclusion on the lineup back in May.

On the local front there’s Pnau, Emma Louise, Lanie Lane and Missy Higgins. Josh Thomas will also join Arj Barker on the comedy lineup.

seriously, it's the festivals in QLD and northern NSW who don't allow sideys up here, we usually get lots from Falls, Meredith, PGW etc

Planning on being in Sydney anyway for Homebake, pretty close to Falls sideshow time?

I don't think Fleet Foxes or Crystal Castles have ever been to Brisbane so you never know...

pretty sure a mate of mine saw FF in brisbane on their debut album tour. not too sure about CC,

Yeah, forgot about that? Think I was confusing Meredith and Falls regarding the dates, one is a week after Homebake?
Pity about Sunset Sounds, maybe they will replace it with a 1 day event?

Falls/Southbound/SS are all new year/early in the new year fests.

I don't think they'll replace it with a one day event, if they did, they'd probably just have changed Sunset Sounds...

i'm pretty certain crystal castles did a sideshow at the family when they came out for playground weekender a couple years back. they were also in bris for parklife in 09. i'm also fairly certain fleet foxes played a show at tivoli when they were out for falls.

im really hoping battles, horrors and bombay bicycle club are not on falls and instead play laneway. And a sideshow for AM in Brisbane and Ill be happy

I have a feeling that Harvest will have the same effect as Splendour 2010; in that every other festival lineup of the season will seem uninspired.

Also, anyone else notice how comedians are getting high billing this year, buy only after The Bedroom Philosopher tore them apart earlier in the year on M+N about their treatment of comedians?

Crystal Castles at the Family would be fucking ace, although I think they'd probably play the HiFi or the Tivoli or something now, they were alot less known when they played Brisbane the first time.

I was one of 10 people who saw bedroom philosopher instead of Washington last falls festival. I felt very happy with my decision
