Glenn Richards and DanLuscombe tour
Tue 19th Jul, 2011 in Local News
After years of supporting each other’s musical projects, at the end of 2010 Glenn Richards and Dan Luscombe joined forces to create the album Glimjack. With Richards’ brother Chris and fellow Drone Mike Noga also on board for the ride they created a beautiful album of hazy and affecting tunes.
Speaking with FasterLouder about the collaboration last year Richards noted: ”Dan and Mike came closer to what I would have preferred in some of the Augie March stuff, they’ve got the right kind of aggression and know when to keep things simple and straight ahead.”
Having played a sold out run of shows last year for Glimjack’s release, Glenn and Dan are hitting the road again this August to, in their own words: “Play whatever they feel like, or whatever the crowd asks for (within reason) from the very large catalogue of Augie March and GR solo releases.”
And just to make the shows all the more special, Mike Noga will be showing his own solo tunes off as main support.
