When And You Will Know Us by the Trail Of Dead visited Australia in 2009 our FasterLouder reviewer declared: “Trail Of Dead put on a show that put most bands to shame, and shouldn’t be missed for love or money.” Well for those of you who did miss out two years ago, this September Trail Of Dead are giving you a second chance.

Widely heralded as one of the defining noise acts of the last decade, Trail Of Dead have attained a near mythical status amongst many circles; receiving the much coveted perfect score from Pitchfork for their album Source Tags and Code and building a reputation for wildly unpredictable live shows.

While there has been a number of line-up changes over the years, Conrad Keely and Jason Reece have always remained at the core of everything the band has done. When speaking with FL before their last tour Keely put the longevity of his partnership with Reece down to one thing: “Friendship. It helps so much to be friends first. I think, in some ways, these days there is more freedom. Maybe not as much money, but more possibilities, and technology is changing it too, making it grow, and it’s just going to keep doing that.”

When Trail Of Dead reach us again this September they will be bringing their extensive back-catalogue with them as well as all the tunes from their stunning two-part new album Tao Of The Dead.
