Homebake returns for 'TheClassic Edition'

After taking a year off in 2010, the all Australian music festival Homebake will make its return in December.

The sixteenth edition of the festival has been dubbed ‘Homebake – The Classic Edition’ and we’ll find out exactly what that means in late July when the lineup is announced. For now we can just speculated and fantasize about which classic Aussie acts we’ll see on the lineup.

The festival will feature four stages – Main Stage, The Big Top, The Dome, The Rowland S Howard Stage – plus a cinema pavilion, comedy stage and roving performers.

They should push for a TISM reunion show. 1998 Homebake was the first time I saw them.

I'd go back to Homebake to see them again!

My money is on them rehashing an old lineup from 10 years ago or so.... Look at all the bands from way back when homebake started that have decided to reform/start playing again of late... Superjesus, Jebediah, Area 7, One Dollar Short, Frenzal, Regurgitator, Screamfeeder... add the likes of The Living End, JBT and Grinspoon to that and there's your festival... It'd be called 'The stuff you listened to in high school' festival.

classis means they should have this line up, no expense spared either, superjesus, MGF, TISM, sekinden, frenzal rhomb, the herd, decoder ring, wolfmother, toy death, astronomy class, tix, would sell out in 1.3 minutes. :)

What about Pollyanna??? I despiesd Lemonsuck but went on to love the rest of their work.

Mavis's I never saw however I always heard they couldn't sing their stuff very well live.

You Am I and Jebediah I think are shoe ins this year, both had new albums. But could you imagine You Am I doing Hi Fi Way!!! omg!! not that anyone at playground weekender seemed to give a damn when You Am I played there, even though their set finished with 3 songs from that album. fuck that was awesome.... well to me and the other guy front and center than went off with me... most other people just stood and stared.

Tumbleweed and Underground Lovers played last Homebake.

Deadstar... Would enjoy seeing them again, loved their first 2 albums and saw them a few times.

I know Grinderman will be in Australia around then... but thats half of the bad seeds... gee would love the bad seed headlining!
