Southbound goes 18+ in 2012

After seven successful years, Southbound has grown up, matured and announced that the 2012 festival will be an 18+ licensed event.
The announcement by the festival explains that:
This means that there will be no cages, giving punters the freedom to roam the main festival site and go from stage to stage without passing through any security checkpoints. Southbounders will be able to get up close and personal with their favourite acts whilst being able to enjoy a cold bevy (in moderation of course!). This change will aid congestion and flow throughout the festival site and will build on the community vibe that Southbounders have grown to love.
Music fans under the age of 18 will still be able to attend the festival, but they must be accompanied by a parent at all times.
Southbound 2012 will be held on the weekend of 7th – 8th January 2012.
