Neon Trees rose through the ranks by supporting The Killers, 30 Seconds To Mars and My Chemical Romance and after a set at Fuji Rock they’re making the trip to Australia to play shows on the East Coast in early August.

FL’s review of the band’s debut record Habits singled out the band’s hit single Animal for its “incredibly catchy chorus, upbeat chord progression and simple riffs” noted that while the record falls short of a brilliant all-round release it still contains “great pop singles”.

Neon Trees tour:
Wednesday 3rd August – Manning Bar, Sydney
Thursday 4th August – Prince Bandroom, Melbourne
Friday 5th August – The Tivoli, Brisbane

On sale Friday 17th June

It honestly sounds like The Wombats took a shit and it somehow learnt to make music and somehow got a show at the Tivoli due to Nova.fm spamming the fuck out of their songs.

At the risk of being antagonistic I bet I could find something twice as ludicrous if I googled the lyrics of a Bring Me The Horizon song.

And I don't even like this band.
It's all about perception.

TBH I'd expect the guy in Tylers avater to be doing his best Robert Smith impersonation.

It's Davey Havok from AFI hardly a terrible band. You guys are playing the uninformed parents part quite well.

AFI are my favourite band. I have an AFI tattoo, even. Davey is amazing. I don't really know what else to say.
And berlinchair - I actually agree with you, I think Havok draws alot of inspiration from Robert Smith. If you like AFI, you should definitely check out their cover of 'Just Like Heaven' on Youtube (if you haven't already). I personally think it's rather great.

Never paired Davey Havok and Robert Smith, tbh. Can sort of see it in the way Davey pronounces his vowels in some of the later recordings, but not really apart from that.

I've got to bust out Sing The Sorrow soon. Great record.

Haha, well i'm pasty and AFI-obsessive (but not female, sorry guys), so yeah - it's the rabbits with 'a fire inside' underneath in sing the sorrow style writing. I know that might make me look like a more late-era AFI fan or whatever, but STS is my favourite album and that logo is my favourite of theirs. Plus, it was my first tattoo and an 18th birthday present so I just wanted to get something small and one colour.
It was quite funny seeing them at soundwave last year as the dude to my left had the same rabbits around his elbow, and the dude to my right had it on his wrist.
