Coaster Festival 2011 line-up
Wed 8th Jun, 2011 in Local News
When summing up last year’s Coaster Festival our FL reviewer noted, “Coaster has positioned itself as a day full of sunshine and happiness. And, in the absence of Homebake this year, it is the festival that does more to showcase local talent than any other.” Helping to ensure that this year’s event is just as successful Coaster has announced another huge bill, chock full of local goodness.
Heading up the Coaster bill this year are festival favourte’s the John Butler Trio, the newly reformed Jebediah and, fresh from a long stint flogging their wares overseas, Little Red.
Also joining the 2011 line-up are Something With Numbers, who haven’t played a live show in nearly two years. The last we heard from Jake Grigg and co they were causing mayhem at Pyramid Rock festival where they whipped the crowd into a frenzy with a set that included a mash-up of Kings Of Leon’s Sex On Fire and Cypress Hill’s Hits From The Bong.
And in other exciting new Central Coast punks One Dollar Short have announced they are coming out of retirement to play their first gig since going on indefinite hiatus in 2005.
