Liam Finn tour
Mon 30th May, 2011 in Local News
Liam Finn will return to Australia with a full touring band to support the release of his new album, FOMO, the follow up to the critically acclaimed debut, I’ll Be Lightning.
The new album was one of our most anticipated albums of winter and the FL review of the happily reports that “Liam could have made I’ll be Lightning part 2 and a lot of people would have been happy, but instead he has pushed forward with his sound and a new state of mind… combin[ing] his talent as a classic pop writer and his youthful spirit of adventure to create something new out of something old.”
Before the tour, Finn will play at the Solid Sound Festival curated by Wilco and at Splendour in The Grass – and after the tour Finn heads to play at Pearl Jam’s 20th birthday alongside the Strokes, Mudhoney and Queens Of The Stone Age.
The letters of the album’s title FOMO stand for ‘Fear of Missing Out’ – so we’ll take the obvious bait and warn you not to miss out on tickets to see Liam Finn in August.
