APRA nominations announced
Thu 26th May, 2011 in Local News
The nominees for the 2011 APRA Awards have been announced, and it seems the last year in Australian music can be summed up by four bands bands: Jet, Birds Of Tokyo, John Butler Trio and Angus & Julia Stone.
Both Jet and Birds Of Tokyo are nominated in the Rock Work Of The Year category alongside FL forum fodder Amy Meredith. Despite breaking ‘Our Delta’s’ heart Brian McFadden has received a nod in the Dance category with fellow hard-hitting beat maker Zoe Badwi
Although classics such as Pendulum’s remix of the ABC News Theme and Thirsty Merc’s All My Life made it onto the longlist for Song Of The Year in March they have not made the final cut, being trumped by the Stone siblings and John Butler Trio.
