Wed 25th May, 2011 in Local News
After a year of hectic solo touring and time spent with his super-group side project Basement Birds, singer-songwriter Josh Pyke has announced the release of his new album Only Sparrows and a national tour to boot.
Only Sparrows is Pyke’s third solo album and the first we have heard from him since 2008’s Chimney’s Afire. The man is more than pleased with his new bundle of tunes; calling them his most “intimate and exciting work yet.” To mark the release of the record, which is due our mid August through Ivy League, Pyke is hitting the road for a short run of very intimate club shows.
Get in quick to see Josh Pyke supported by Jackson McLaren at the following gigs:
Thursday 23rd June- Goodgod Small Club, Sydney
Friday 24th June – Beetle Bar, Brisbane
Thursday 30th June – Grace Emily Hotel, Adelaide
Friday, 1st July – Grace Darling Hotel, Melbourne
Tickets for all shows will be sold through Moshtix and are $20 for all fan club pre-sale tickets and $25 for general public. The pre-sale will take place from Thursday, 26th May at 9am and the general public can get tickets from Thursday, 2nd June.
