Faker get the CSS treament

Faker have given us the first taste of their forthcoming album, dropping a CSS remix of new track Dangerous. The song, which will be the lead single off the band’s soon to be released record, is available for free download from the Faker website as of today.

The remix came about after a chance meeting between Nathan Hudson and Adriano from CSS in a small book store in Sao Paulo, and the result is a track that sounds one part New Order and three parts Brazilian disco anthem.

To coincide the release of their first single the band will be showcasing the new Faker line-up at The Waratah Hotel in Hobart on Friday June 24th and at Hotel New York in Launceston on Saturday 25th June.

Of the decision to launch the new tunes in Tassie Nathan says: “We’re coming to Tasmania for our first shows in support of our very new record (name to be revealed). We’re coming to learn a thing or two about looks and what happens when you play a very new song in front of a particularly excited audience. We want to feel like we put the mania in Tasmania. We’re also coming because we feel like we owe it to you. You don’t get enough love do you? We can fix that. Together.”
