Due to a slower than expected start to ticket sales for Splendour In The Grass this year, there was some speculation that there would be no sideshows announced. People needn’t have feared though, as a huge stack of Splendour sideshows have been announced this morning.

if Pulp had done what LCD soundsystem did last year and teamed up with another fairly well known act for a bit of a double bill then they could've comfortably charged $90 to little complaint. from memory LCD + hot chip was about 80 and in the end was well worth it.

Actually I can see where MAB's coming from now. I spent 40 bucks on Deerhunter at the Annandale. Deerhunter are much more well known and respected (also better in every way).



LCD were amazing. I've been a Hot Chip fan for a while, but damn that performance was unimpressive. I don't know if it was the fuzzy sound, or the earlier timeslot. But I just didn't give a fuck about it.

i agree. but walking out of the show most of the praise seemed to be for Hot Chip. i think even on the forums most of the talk was on Hot Chip's great performance.i don't know what they were talking about, i thought Hot Chip were very ordinary.

the prince website opened the new date thursday july 21st as modest mouse second show and they were on sale for about 10 minutes and then they took it down. i assume they took it down so they could release it next week and give people more warning for the on sale time. i got tickets in that small window and ive got a receipt etc. so im guessing theyll definitely go ahead with the show.
