Sebadoh Australian tour
Wed 18th May, 2011 in Local News
With Dinosaur Jr on break, Lou Barlow has shifted his focus to Sebadoh, releasing expanded reissues of 1994’s Bakesale and 1996’s Harmacy.
FasterLouder’s review of the Bakesale reissue notes that Sebadoh “paved the way for a plethora of modern lo-fi garage rock and slacker pop bands the world over” and in September the band will visit Australia for the first time in over 15 years with a promise to play “the songs y’all have been asking for in proper electrified fashion”.
Barlow will be joined by bandmate Jason Loewenstein (who joined Sebadoh in the late ’80s) and new drummer Bob D’Amico (who plays with Loewenstein in The Fiery Furnaces).
