New album and tour for ThePanda Band

It feels like some time since we have heard from Perth indie quartet The Panda Band, and with good reason too. For the last year or so the lads have been busy touring America and working on their new album Charisma Weapon.

This is the first new music from The Panda Band since 2005’s This Vital Chapter (We’re Almost Not Even Here) which was made triple j album of the week and catapulted the band into the US where they developed a loyal following.

Panda Band will launch Charisma Weapon this May through WA and then will head up the east coast for a quick run shows as well.

I was actually in Jurien Bay two weeks ago on an architechtural expedition and saw a poster for the Panda Band show and laughed since Jurien Bay is three hours away from Perth and only has a population of around 1200 people.

Of those 1200 I predict none give a shit about the Panda Band.

Just being silly.
One of my best friends is an architechture student and one of her assignments involves being assigned an urban area and then presenting a proposal for a general expansion. She got Jurien Bay so we decided it was roadtrip time.

What about Lancelin then? I doubt there would be enough people living there to fill the venue.

Lancelin isn't that bad. It's only an hour drive from where I live.. bahaha! Not much further than a trip to Perth City :P

i work @ the bar where the panda band played on friday night they were flippen awesome along with ruby boots i had a chat to both bands ... they were pretty impressed with the turn out as were i ....first gig of a descent bands in this town ever...!!!!
... i'm hooked awesome tunes !!! i'm a proud fan.. even thou a new fan ...yes i do give a shit !!! the population is actually 2500 get ya fact right especially if you dont live there !!! :)
p.s. the wami promo cd is flippen wicked 3 cds & dvd :)
