Beaufort St Festival wantsartists

The Beaufort Street Festival is on again for 2011 and organisers are now seeking musicians, artists and performers to get involved. This year’s festival will be held on 12th November.
Like many things in the Beaufort St area, the festival’s a community thing, not someone’s brand marketing tool, and its authenticity attracted over 50,000 attendees last year.
Whether it’s street theatre, a rolling member jam band or yarn bombing the main drag, the BoFo organisers (thanks Peter Barr) want to hear your project ideas. No idea is too out there, in fact, the madder the better they say.
Beaufort St in Mt Lawley is one of the few cultural hubs to have resisted the real estate developers, multinational corporations and the boganisation that has homogenised much of our culture, and this festival is a way to celebrate diversity and resist becoming beige.
If you’d like to offer your music, art, ideas, or services, or you’re a business that could throw some cash at the festival, email email@example.com and tell him what you have in mind.
