Rosie’s closes its doors
Wed 4th May, 2011 in Local News
Brisbane’s Rosie’s, one of the few venues left in the city centre that caters live, local and alternative music will shut its doors at the end of this month due to a change in ownership.
Owner Tony McLeod confirmed today that the venue had been sold to Paul Johnston and Austin Ward (the developers behind the Fox Hotel transformation), who were planning on giving the beloved venue a facelift to cater to a slightly different demographic.
Last drinks for the venue will be held on 27th May with both Monstrothic and Level Up hosting farewell events.
Thankfully for metal fans, the clubs metal night, Monstrothic, will be moving all shows after 27 May to the upstairs stage at The Jubilee.
