Tex Perkins & Dark Horses newalbum shows
Wed 4th May, 2011 in Local News
Over the last few years Tex Perkins has shown off quite a few shades of his personality. From taking centre stage to cover the songs of Johnny Cash to disturbing audiences with his lounge-singing alter ego in The Ladyboyz, Perkins has certainly been pushing his fans’ musical buttons.
Now the ex- Beasts Of Bourbon frontman and sometime Cruel Sea leader, is returning with Tex Perkins & The Dark Horses, his alt-country rock project with Charlie Owen, Joel Silbersher and two new members, bassist Steve Hadley and drummer Gus Agars.
The shows mark the release of the act’s new album, the first recorded music we will have heard from them since 2003’s Sweet Nothing.
You can catch Tex Perkins and his Dark Horses at the following shows:
Thursday 15th June – Factory Theatre, Sydney
Friday 17th June – Thornbury Theatre, Melbourne
Saturday 18th June – Thornbury Theatre, Melbourne
