Ghostface Killah has told triple j that “We coming over there to mash out and we’re going to be over there definitely… I don’t know who signed off but you got GZA, Method Man, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killah and I think Raekwon might go. Hopefully everyone will come, by the grace of god. We got love for Australia and Australia has love for us. We wish we could come over there more often but we just need the right promoters to call us and stuff like that.”

triple j also says that “American promoters” have told them that “the tour will be a 4-date run of shows over the first weekend of August”.

After a much ballyhooed build up, Australian fans were turned into true believers in 2009 as RZA, GZA, Raekwon, Inspectah Deck and more stalwarts from US rap collective Wu-Tang Clan made good on their promise to tour Australia together, playing a string of venue dates around the country and leaving W’s upright in their wake.

Now some fresh buzz is spreading across the internerd that another Wu-Tang tour is imminent, with the fire being started by the Wu-Tang Clan Tour Australia Facebook page which links to local urban events crew On Point Promotions.

The admins of the page have been teasing out details of the Wu-Tang return for a few weeks now with hinting tour posters already going up around Melbourne. “I guess we better let you know the tour is 100% real, paid & locked in,” a message from the promoters read. “We’re just finalizing sponsors & media partners. An official announcement will be released in less than 2 weeks.”
