First acts revealed forParklife 2011?

Though the festival’s return is roughly five months away now there’s already been some speculation in the FasterLouder forums and eager fans are about to get a glimpse at what’s ahead for the 2011 Parklife festival, with our friends over at inthemix digging up some dirt on the first act set to play on this year’s national tour.

Little things like festival lineups don’t tend to stay quiet in the internet age and today we tuned up a pearl of a find on events website Songkick, which happens to be listing Swedish electronic innovators Little Dragon as the first act coming down for this year’s Parklife.

Admirers of the group would remember that Little Dragon were out here over summer to perform with collaboration-buddies Gorillaz while also selling out their own sideshows on the back of heavy radio play. In July the band will release Ritual Union, the follow up to their Machine Dreams which suggests that a return tour of Australia with Parklife would make perfect sense.

While the dates are not yet listed on Little Dragon’s official website, Songkick’s listing also touts Stones Throw neo-soul dudes The Stepkids and a jazz/hip-hop/funk group called Le J Trio on one date, so take that however you will.
