Jack Ladder new album andshows

Sydney’s Jack Ladder will perform two bite-sized shows in Melbourne and Sydney this month to give fans a taste of his highly anticipated third album Hurtsville.

Due out on June 10th, Hurtsville is the follow-up to 2008’s AMP nominated Love Is Gone and is the first record to feature Ladder’s new backing band The Dreamlanders. As noted by our FasterLouder reviewer back in 2009, Ladder’s new musical direction sees him shifting his traditionally soulful rock n roll sound to incorporate a denser sonic swirl, more layers and less structure.

If the first single Cold Feet is anything to go by, then Hurtsville may just be Jack Ladder’s finest work to date.
