Helmet return to our shores

Three years after Helmet were Down Under to perform their seminal record Meantime, the hard-rock legends will return armed with an album’s worth of new tunes.

Since they last visited Page Hamilton and co have been busy recording Seeing Eye Dog, the first new music the band has produced since 2006’s critically acclaimed Monochrome.

Speaking with FasterLouder about his decision to keep the Helmet name alive, Hamilton mused: “I am a musician; I am not a rock star. It wasn’t my goal to get on the cover of Rolling Stone and date models. Rock is a valid form of expression and it’s interesting and I do Helmet cos I like doing it. Music is a constant. Music is a great life path.”
