Big Boi tour imminent

Niche Productions ( the folks behind the currently on hiatus Days Like This festival) have just announced that Outkast’s Big Boi will be performing a one-off show in Auckland mid-year, making a return to Australian shores very likely.
The gig is scheduled to happen on August 25th and will see the rapper perform with a full band, playing both Outkast songs and material from his critically accalimed solo album Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, which was described by its FasterLouder reviewer as “skilful, infectious and fiercely inventive as anything Outkast ever produced.”
Big Boi was last on our shores in November 2010 to launch the car racing videogame Need for Speed Hot Pursuit with a solo show in Sydney, and before that as part of the Winterbeatz festival with Ne-Yo, T-Pain and Fatman Scoop.
