WA acts in Music FeedbackProject
Mon 28th Mar, 2011 in Local News
A swag of WA acts including Karnivool, Boom Bap Pow! and Simone and Girlfunkle have tracks on the Music Feedback 2011 compilation CD to be released during Youth Week (1-10 April).
Music Feedback is a project that arose from thinking, “What if we talked about music the way we talked about mental illness?” In its third year, the project promotes discussion and awareness of the issues surrounding mental health and youth, and helps spread the word that music can change your mood from sad to happy.
After considerable interest across the country, the WA based project aims to launch nationally in 2012
The CD/DVD includes a doco of Australian artists discussing life, music and mental health including members of Blue King Brown, Optamus and The Bedroom Philosopher. There’s also 18 songs and 6 clips from bands who want to help reduce the stigma of mental illness.
