The Bloodpoets grow Wings
Thu 24th Mar, 2011 in Local News
Local alt-rock indie band The Bloodpoets are heading out on tour this month to launch their latest EP Wings.
The Poets are well known in the Brisbane music scene as they have supported acts such as British India and Trial Kennedy and are strongly supported by 4ZzZ, the local independent radio station. In fact the first single off the EP, Dance, came in at #3 on the 4ZzZ Hot 100 of 2010.
The tour will extend along the East coast of Australia and starts in Brisbane this Friday night before the talented foursome head down the coast line to Tasmania and then finish off in Sydney in early April.
With plenty of little gems such as Borderline, Tryst and Dance to get the punters moving the show promises all kinds of fun this Friday night.
Supporting the band in Brisbane are local lads Rob Robot, indie-folk foursome The Catchment and young rockers The Drive. There will definitely be some spectacular talent on hand with this all-Queensland line-up.
Tickets are available from moshtix for the fantastic pre-sale price of $8 + bf, or at the door, but be sure to get along to The Hifi this Friday night, the 25th March, to lend some support to a great up-and-coming band.
