Nevermind tribute canned

The seemingly ill-fated Nervermind tribute shows, which were met with much scorn from the FasterLouder forums last month and underwent a mini-scandal when the Vasco Era’s Sid O’Neil denied involvement despite lead billing, have been cancelled.
An update on the Enmore Theatre’s website states: “Due to circumstances beyond their control the promoters have made the unfortunate decision to CANCEL the ‘Nevermind’ show. They would like to thank all the fans and patrons who purchased tickets and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
The shows, which were scheduled to take place at The Enmore Theatre in Sydney and The Palais in Melbourne mid-year, were organised to mark the 20th Anniversary of Nirvana’s seminal album Nervermind.
