Destroy Music Festivalannounced

After dropping a few clues early this month the folks behind No Sleep Til have finally revealed the line-up for the Destroy Music music festival.

As many punters would have already guessed, the mini festival will be headlined by post-hardcore heroes The Amity Affliction who have just wrapped up touring with Soundwave Festival as the only local on the bill. The band received rave reviews for their sets, and as our reviewer noted, [Amity have developed a set] that is well executed and rapturously received by an audience welcoming good hardcore back to Oz.”

Joining them on the tour, which snakes its way around Australia this May, is newly reformed I Killed The Prom Queen. Destroy Music Festival will be the first time the Adelaide outfit have played live since embarking on their ‘Say Goodbye tour in March 2008. Prom Queen’s drummer JJ Peters will be getting twice the workout on this tour with his offshoot project Deez Nuts rounding out the bill alongside Of Mice And Men.

Update: The first 18+ show in Melbourne sold out in 5 hours; a new show has been added.

Also, what's the lineup for IKTPQ? No dice if it's Crafter.

Amity are bigger now then Prom Queen at their prime, and Jamie Hope (ex-The Red Shore) is singing for Prom Queen. What do you care anyways?

The Brisbane date is Saturday the 28th of May at the Riverstage. No Perth though.
